The volunteer calendar

This is the calendar for anyone serving as a Host, Guardian, or Facilitator. It carries everything the public calendar has, plus who's serving at each gathering and the Zoom registration link. Adding it once keeps your shifts in front of you, and new gatherings arrive on their own.

Times land in your own time zone automatically, wherever you are.

Add it to your calendar

The steps are a little different depending on what you're using. Find yours below.

Google Calendar

  1. 1Open the calendar link This works best on a computer. On a phone, it may ask you to open the Google Calendar app.

  2. 2Choose Add when Google asks You'll see a box asking whether to add "SRT Online Volunteer Calendar."
  3. 3Look for it in your list It'll appear under Other calendars on the left. Unchecking the box hides the gatherings without removing them.

Apple Calendar (iPhone, iPad, or Mac)

  1. 1Copy the calendar address

  2. 2Open Settings, then Apps, then Calendar On older iPhones it's Settings, then Calendar.
  3. 3Tap Accounts, then Add Account, then Other
  4. 4Tap Add Subscribed Calendar Paste the address you copied into the Server box, then tap Next and Save.

On a Mac, it's quicker: open the Calendar app, choose File, then New Calendar Subscription, and paste the same address.

Outlook

  2. 2Open your calendar in Outlook
  3. 3Choose Add calendar, then Subscribe from web
  4. 4Paste the address and give it a name Something like SRT Volunteer works well. Then choose Import.

Please keep this link within the volunteer community

This calendar is shared by link rather than by invitation, which keeps it simple to pass along to new volunteers. The tradeoff is that anyone who has the link can add the calendar, and it stays on their device until they remove it themselves.

Sharing it directly with volunteers, rather than posting it somewhere public, is what keeps it working the way it's meant to. There's a separate public calendar for anyone outside the volunteer community, and it carries no registration link.
